Camille Pissarro was a Danish-French painter born on the island of St.Thomas in 1830. He was a major contributor to Impressionism and later, in the transition to Post Impressionism. Studying at Academie Suisse, Pissarro joined with other masters such as Claude Monet and Paul Cezanne where they coalesced and together upheld the importance of portraying subjects in natural settings – stepping away from the earlier grandeur styles. He became a pivotal figure in a collective of fifteen artists to forge Impressionism. Embolden your space with an exquisite landscape piece of the streets in France with an original Pissarro print.
